The Wilderness

Watch as I stand still,
Chasing my dreams

I can’t catch the mountainside
While breaking down on the mitten

The wilderness
As seen in my wildest dreams

Clothes strewn across the floor

And patterns of pitter patter
And the raindrops on my sleeve
Says being bright doesn’t matter

Shards of glass spraying
Crowds em masse praying

Hoping for the words to come
Where tombstones say
in here you rest

Enjoy the petals
As you say they fell off naturally

Chase the ink as it spreads across this sheet
Just to remember one more time

The wilderness
As we stir baring it all
While they hunted us
