Why Turn Poetry Into Music?
“Only Anthem” was a “band” name I came up with during the MySpace era. Back then, I was just experimenting with FruityLoops and didn’t get very far. Now, I am reclaiming that moniker in order to share my poetry in a form accessible to more people around the world.
The project was simple. How do these words sound? Sure, I understand how they read on paper; and I can hear some tunes in my mind – but how could such a reality exist?
I can live the rest of my life being able to hear them finally. So why not share it with the world?
The words came first. The music found them later.
