Say How

Say now, you had a say how –
Every path, roots tripping up
You don’t want to fall face down
But the fog keeps veiling where you end up

Say now, you had a say how –
Every past, truth ripping up
You keep waking up toothless
And the dentist won’t see you now

When I walked behind, the door wouldn’t let me out
Lost in the woods, it didn’t matter if I would shout

When I walked in front, there wasn’t anything in the way
Found in the same story, I kept my mouth quiet

Did you end up where you envisioned yourself?
Or did you give in the destiny?

Did you end up where you feared the most?
Or did you give in to desire?

Say now, you had a say how –
Everything turned out,
Would you run from the shadow you wear?
Is it wearing you out?

Say now, you had a say how –
Every day ended the same,
Would you find joy in the repetition?
Is it becoming you now?

When I walked around, every door would stay the same
Behind them would start anew, but it took a million to lead to you

When you walked around, every sound you heard would stay the same
Behind your words, it took a million to hear your song

Did you tell me to find what I loved and let it burn?
Or did I give into desire?

Did you tell me to find where I was and let it burn?
Or did I give into destiny?

Say, now that you had a say –
Do you still choose to stay?
