Remember how the chandelier shook?
How the trees were never quite right,
Remarked a bad sowing crew?
If all is lost in love
And the ground keeps on shaking,
I said I would carry you,
Anywhere I’d go,
And you would never leave
My perfect storm,
You blew right through,
Remember how we used to look?
Six years ago, all the things we took
How the days have come to bring us change,
If all is lost in the wind,
Then why do we still have our photographs
I said I would carry you,
And never let go,
Do you remember the me you used to know?
My perfect storm,
You weren’t here tonight
Remember the days you held on?
To the trees, and they were four years old?
How the leaves would fall,
If they fell, were they falling apart?
Then why do we still hate?
My perfect storm,
Eventually you blew over
And when the town came calling me out,
I was still too sheltered
